HOUGHTON LAKE – Houghton Lake and Roscommon Rotary clubs joined together Sept. 9 and 10 to collect school supplies for the county schools.
Although the weather wasn’t cooperating for the annual ‘Stuff the Bus’ event, the community sure was. Donations included everything from pens and pencils to back packs and notebooks. Cash was accepted as well, including a $500 check.
The Rotary Clubs will now separate the donations and divide them between Houghton Lake Community Schools, Our Lady of the Lake Schools, Roscommon Area Public Schools and Charlton Heston Academy.
