Beth Christensen, 81, of Houghton Lake

Beth Christensen, 81, of Houghton Lake passed September 1, 2016 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.

She was born December 13, 1934 in Detroit to Harold and Marble (Dunham) Hoppe.

Mrs. Christensen moved to Houghton Lake in 1970 from Livonia. She was a waitress for many years employed at Randy’ Family Restaurant and Randy’ Country Kitchen, and also she was employed by Edge Water Beach Marina. She was a volunteer for Project Hope.

Surviving are her daughters; Andrea Christensen and Diane Adams, both of Lapeer, Cheryl Christensen of Reed City; sons, Larry (Lynn) Christensen and Steve Christensen, both of Houghton Lake; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are sisters; May and Jean.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother; Bud and sister; Onalee.

Visitation is scheduled at Christler Funeral Home- Prudenville Chapel today (Sept. 6) from 3-7 pm. The funeral will take place at the funeral home September 7 at 11 am with Rev. Dr. James N. Kent conducting the service.

Burial will take place at Roscommon Township Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’ choice.
