ROSE CITY – A new store in Rose City aims to offer ‘something for everybody.’ Berg’ Trading Post is a general store stocked with everything from high-powered pellet guns (legal for hunting deer in Michigan) and gold prospecting equipment to bulk culinary seasonings and essential oils.
Owner Mike Berg says he wants the Trading Post to be inviting for men and women.
Our tagline is ‘discover yourself,’ he said. ‘Whether you want to do things outdoors or relax, we have products to help you find out who you are mentally, physically, and spiritually.’
Berg has been in business since 1983, but opened the Trading Post in the building across the street from Family Fare on July 1. The building also houses another of Berg’ businesses, Berg’ Animal and Bug Control.
