HIGGINS LAKE – The Lyon Township Park was a hotbed of activity at the Michigan Free Fishing Weekends recently. The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary and Roscommon County Sheriff Department Marine Patrol participated in the event. Don Nickel shuttled visitors around the area in the Fireman’s Memorial Trolley.
