MILLS TOWNSHIP / OGEMAW COUNTY – The weather cooperated, and so did the fish at the Annual Optimist Club Fishing Derby held at Skidway Lake on Saturday, June 9.
Mills Township Supervisor David Ryan said 26 youths turned out for the event, with a 21-inch Largemouth Bass being the largest keeper.
“They caught quite a few that day,” Ryan said.
“It was a wonderful event. Thank you to those who sponsored it.”
