Roscommon-Houghton Lake alumni game Saturday

ROSCOMMON COUNTY – Former members of the Houghton Lake and Roscommon girls soccer teams are getting together for their Third Annual Soccer Alumni Game June 2 at 1 p.m.

Morgan Romancky, Sky Page, Lauren Arsenault and Katie Trahan started the event due to a lack of uniforms and quality equipment for the girls teams.

‘I am passionate about becoming better at something. In order to become better, you might have to use certain tools to get you to be better. Raising this money is not only for the new uniforms, but for extra equipment, team events, and to (help) girls who do not have enough money (to purchase) the proper equipment.’

This year the game will take place at Roscommon High School soccer field, rain or shine.

Romancky said the game is a great way for alumni to build connections in the business world as well as introduce themselves to the high school girls teams. There will be 50/50 raffles ran by the high school girls soccer teams, as well as concessions.

‘With soccer being a part of my life. I want to inspire others (as to) how to help others out by doing something you love. I want people to be healthy, build connections, and have fun. This game provides it all. I would like to see it continued on throughout my life and beyond,’ Romancky said.
