Eva Jean Leedy

Eva Jean Leedy, age 91, of Houghton Lake passed away on Sunday August 19, 2018 at home surrounded by her family.
Eva was born on July 2, 1927 in Houghton Lake Heights, Michigan to Sandy and Pearl (Nelson) Sanderson. Eva graduated from Houghton Lake Schools in 1945. After graduation she received her business degree from Bay City Business School. Eva worked as a Secretary for the Houghton Lake Community Schools. She was married on December 31, 1948 in Houghton Lake Heights to Robert N. Leedy. Eva was a member of the ABWA, the Eastern Star and she enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, camping and being a wonderful grandmother.
Eva is survived by daughter; Vicky Barrios of Spearfish, SD., sons; Thomas (Erica) Leedy of Merritt and James (Rebekah) Leedy of Houghton Lake, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren, brother; Bruce (Diane) Sanderson of Houghton Lake.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Robert N. Leedy, sons; Robert R. Leedy and John J. Leedy, grandson; Ryan Earegood, brothers; Ralph Sanderson and Earl Sanderson and sister; Myra Thomas.
A Celebration of Life Service for Eva Jean Leedy was conducted on Friday August 24, 2018 with Rev. Dr. Craig Hexham officiating. Interment will be in Roscommon Township Cemetery at a later date.
