Rosco chamber expo tomorrow

ROSCOMMON – Records are made to be broken.

The Higgins Lake-Roscommon Chamber of Commerce has set a record for its annual business expo with more than 100 vendors, blowing past the 80 vendors who participated last year. (See business locations in maps below).

The annual expo gives local businesses the opportunity to showcase their wares, as well as mingle with friends and business owners from across the region.

According to Chamber of Commerce Director Cathy Boyle, there are four areas where vendors will be set up this year: The Main Gym, 2nd Gym (Recreation Area), walkway between the two gyms, and the lawn out by the CRAF Center Gazebo. Temperatures are expected to reach the mid 1980s.

‘It’ very exciting to have so much community participation and support. I invite our entire community to come out and meet the businesses, and find out about our recreation opportunities, and the many services we have in our area,’ Boyle said.

Instead of door prizes, this year the chamber will have a silent auction featuring golf outings, clothing and much more. Most vendors have prizes at their tables as well, including the Roscommon County Voice. The Voice is giving away a $100 gift certificate for fresh meat from Bob’ Butcher Shop in Roscommon, which is scheduled to open early next month.

The expo runs from 3-6 p.m. at the CRAF Center in Roscommon.
