ROSCOMMON COUNTY – The Roscommon County Community Foundation (RCCF) awarded a $5,000.00 grant to Roscommon Area Public schools (RAPS) to assist with purchasing steel drums for the RAPS Band program. The funding came from one of the donor-advised funds of RCCF.
With the funds granted, RAPS purchased around 30 steel drums for the middle school band program. According to Band Director, Seth Kilbourn, ‘It is a privilege to be one of the only schools in Michigan to have a steel drum band at both the middle school and high school.’ The RAPS Band program is very grateful for the support provided from the community foundation.
