ROSCOMMON – Local libraries are participating in Battle of the Books. Students compete in teams of five led by an adult coach. They read a variety of books chosen by librarians, and then answer questions about the books in a competition against other local teams. The top three teams from each library go on to compete against the teams from their “rival” libraries. The team with the most correct answers becomes the 2017 Battle of the Books Champions!
The Championship Battle, where Roscommon teams face off against other schools, is Saturday March 18 at the Houghton Lake High School Auditorium at 1p.m.
Roscommon team members include: Team BOB-O-Nation, Alex Theil, Ben Collins, Chase Adams, Riley Maczik, Josh Karoub and coaches John and Amanda Theil. Team Rockin Royal Readers, Reagan Smith, Carlee Godfree, Logan Hasting, Kaeleene Felver and coach Theresa Ross.
