Hoops for the house

MIO – The countdown has begun!

Just a few days until the tip off of the ‘6th Annual Hoops for the House’ Basketball Tournament at the Mio AuSable High School. Several teams will hit the court this year with hopes of taking home the coveted trophy currently held hostage by last year’ champions – Oscoda County’ Finest.

The event is scheduled for Feb. 11 at 10 a.m. Donation requested for admission.

The teams currently in the running to jump in and steal the ultimate prize are Mio AuSable’ teachers and staff, Oscoda County EMS and River House. Does your team have what it takes to be this year’ victor?

Want to help your favorite team get a ‘leg up’? Points are all subjective – and purchasable – by teams and spectators! There will be a silent auction, a half-time shootout, 50/50 drawing and the score keepers can be bribed.

‘Hoops for the House’ is a benefit basketball tournament with 100% of the donations going to River House, Inc. to help in their mission to support victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
