Coursera Club session restarts

ROSCOMMON – The Roscommon Area District Library is starting its second round of Coursera Club study sessions. Coursera is an online program that allows anyone to take a free college course online for no credit.

In the fall, the Coursera Club decided to study a history course from Coursera called “The Modern World, 1750-1910.”   This spring, we will continue to meet and may choose to continue with a new college course or may look at other (free) on-line resources such as “Crash Course” or “Khan Academy.”

Director Casey Adams said, ‘We will decide the specifics at our next meeting.  Please join us and help decide what we want to study.”

The Coursera Club meets on a regular basis and is looking for new members who want to learn interesting subjects and discuss what we learn with each other. If interested, contact Ed Bobinchak at (989) 821-3661 or come to RADL on March 8 at 3 p.m.
