Melvin Near and his brother Zachary Buckalew spent quite a bit of time together while Zachary was home on leave from the Army recently. The duo went ice fishing and squirrel hunting. This was Melvin’s first time out and he caught a 30-inch pike. He pulled the fish up out of the hole by himself. Zach bought Melvin a new gun for Christmas and his first kill was this black squirrel. After getting the Squirrel he Googled how to clean and cook it since his brother told him you have to eat whatever you kill. This is Melvin’s first official hunt and he was successful.
