Rendon says goodbye

By Bruce Rendon

I first decided to run for state representative because as a small business owner, I wanted to see an economic environment in Michigan where businesses could thrive and jobs were abundant. I wanted to eliminate regulations that inhibited success for businesses. I wanted to make a difference.

Once elected, I had no idea what a ride I was in for. Committee hearings, district events, floor speeches, policy briefings and more. It’ been quite the adventure, one that I put my whole heart into.

It has been an honor to serve the 103rd District.

I am humbled by the trust put in me by my neighbors to represent them in Lansing. This experience has been a special one that I’ll never forget and that I’ll always be thankful to God for. I now leave my constituents in the very capable hands of my wife, Daire, who will be taking over my state representative seat in January. I know she will do a great job serving our district.

Thank you again for allowing me to serve you. Please be sure to say hello if you see me throughout the district. I continue to keep all its residents in my prayers. God bless you all.
