ST. HELEN – Charlton Heston Academy Parent Teacher Organization (CHA PTO) member Andrea Gregory presents VFW Post #5680 member John Sutter with 77 pounds of Aluminum Tabs students had collected for their Tabs for Tots Tab Drive. Aluminum tabs from beverage containers, pet foods, and canned goods were accepted for the challenge.
The group that collected the most tabs were treated to a private daytime screening of ‘Pete’ Dragon’, with popcorn and pop provided by the CHA PTO. Gregory said the students will be doing another tab drive this year at the school and encourages family and neighbors to start saving up. The money collected from the drive goes into helping area children with medical expenses at hospitals and centers in the community in which they are collected.
