By Pat Foxx

ST. HELEN- Three community service organizations in St. Helen – Helping Hands, St. Helen Optimists, and St. Helen Civic Association – came together to raise funds with their first Trivia Night Aug. 20. Teams were asked to test their knowledge in many areas including; science, sports, music, and other areas of general interest to claim their share of the prize money.

‘It was a ton of fun and I cannot wait to do this again,’ said Helping Hand’ President Roberta Kary.

‘The point is to come on out and have some fun with your friends and support these great organizations,’ said Mary Mason, We Care Volunteer and Secretary/Treasurer St. Helen Optimists.

Teams were charged a $40 entry fee and were allowed three to four players per team. Proceeds from the event went to team prizes, Helping Hands, and the St. Helen Optimists. The organizations plan to continue the event, with the next Trivia Night to be held Oct. 15.
