ROSCOMMON – Is your favorite WinterFest Event watching the Broomball Teams battle it out for bragging rights (those belong to Jim’ Collision right now), or participating in the fun and games at the WinterFest Kids Karnival? Maybe it’ the beautiful horse-drawn wagon rides through North State Park, or building your cardboard sled and racing it down Pioneer Hill? Everyone has their favorites – and whether it’ sampling and voting at the indoor Chili Cook-Off or winning a prize in the Fishing Derby – or all of the above – NEW stuff is always fun to try, too!

This year, the 2017 WinterFest Committee is happy to announce we have a NEW location for the pancake breakfast (included with your $5 button). Taking place at the Lyon Township Town Hall, 7851 W. Higgins Lake Drive, the pancake breakfast includes pancakes with a side of fun – Rosa the Clown will be there for your enjoyment; bring your smiles. Speaking of smiles, you’ll also want them handy while trying out a NEW event at WinterFest – a snowshoe scavenger hunt. Sponsored by the Friends of Higgins Lake, this is a great time to try out snowshoeing for the first time, or enjoy a sport you already love. The final event of WinterFest, the AFTERGLOW PARTY. will be at a NEW location – Streamside Restaurant, staring at 4 p.m. Saturday. With amazing silent and live auction items, a raffle drawing, a frozen t-shirt contest to benefit Relay For Life, AND fun prize and trophy presentations, you’ll have a great time. Want to know who won the Chili Cook Off? The Rada Run? The Fishing Derby? Broomball? Come to the AFTERGLOW party for plenty of fun AND 10 percent off your food order with your WinterFest button!

Special Thanks to our WinterFest Committee, the Committee Chair Andrea Weiss from Chemical Bank, and those who volunteer and contribute to WinterFest in a variety of ways – chairing events, passing out buttons, sponsorships, prize donations, and more! Our major donors are Chemical Bank, Nester Chevrolet, and Munson Healthcare, and we have a WIDE variety of community businesses that support this great event – we couldn’t do it without you! Thank You!
